ONE PROMISE KEPT.
ONE STORY EARNED.
These are real words from real CHUTZ customers — shared after they placed a bet, kept a promise and submitted their tracker.
Every quote below came from someone who put a small stake behind a small promise — then followed through. No actors. No invented praise. Just honest words from people building proof one completed action at a time.
Thank you for this beautiful God-vision and your heart to fortify us to go after the things of God that support our mental and spiritual health.
I was lying in bed at 10:30 last night, about to fall asleep, when I remembered I hadn't done my stretching. So I got out of bed and did them bc I want my $10 back 😆
Betting on myself is so much better than betting on some random sports game or poker hand. I am able to control the outcome no matter what, no other variables, just me vs me. I'm excited to keep betting on myself!
I just completed the 5-day money challenge. During this time period, I started off feeling great and was sure I could complete my challenge! On Day 3, I denied some things I didn't 'need,' and looking back, I'm glad I didn't waste my money. I learned I don't only need to do this in 5 days — I can be cautious with spending when remembering that I control what I buy and not waste my money away.
This morning, my 10 minutes turned into 30! There was such a sweet presence during my time with Jesus.
It is difficult to disregard the convenience of being able to get whatever we want whenever we want! It definitely takes deliberate concentration on using what we have… I bet I could go a week with food and things at my house. Thank you for the kick in the butt to be prudent!
Betting on myself that I would read my Bible before phone every morning reminded me how important it is to start your day with intention. The daily tracker really helped me too because the physical act of writing it down felt very rewarding and made me want to make sure I didn't miss the next day. I'm excited to keep betting on myself.
It was SO quiet and peaceful. I got to stay in and get a lot done. Then went to a free music festival! The hardest thing not to buy was street corn or tacos at the festival. We packed lunches and had a great time though. Definitely helpful and next time I want to try to go for 2 no spend days.
I found myself being able to truly connect with myself and my home during the time I took to disconnect from electronics. I even turned the tv off! Some days, I went a little over my hour, not even knowing. I loved being able to be still. I loved seeing how much more I could be doing throughout my day besides scrolling or screen time, period. This will be a part of my monthly reset routine for sure! Found so much peace in the disconnect.
I turned my phone off for an hour yesterday. At first, it was a bit awkward but when the hour was over, I was kind of wishing that I left it off a little longer. Great idea.
This is great to stabilize myself.
It was so nice to be able to think, uninterrupted for a minimum of 1 hour. I don't think I realized just how tethered to this little piece of metal and glass I really was. Thanks Tess!!
We need to be doing this anyway! These bets are a way to make it fun!
